Calling all parents, grandparents, and other caring adults! Interested in a simple way to bring faith into your conversations at home? Here is a really great nightly ritual called FAITH5 that you can do in as little as 15 minutes. Gather up your family and have everyone participate in these five steps:

  1. SHARE a high and a low from your day. Have everyone talk about one good thing from the day and one not-so-good thing.
  2. READ a Bible verse or story. You can pick a favorite verse, use one of the readings from Sunday worship, or find a daily Bible verse online or in a Bible app.
  3. TALK about how the Bible reading might relate to your highs and lows. This could take some practice, but you’ll get the hang of it and find some connections!
  4. PRAY for one another’s highs and lows.
  5. BLESS one another. Make the sign of the cross on one another’s foreheads and offer a blessing that can be as simple as “God bless you.”

Friday-Saturday, February 23-24

Bethel will once again be hosting the junior high component of the annual Be Like Jesus 24-Hour Servant Lock-in taking place in February! That means we will have about 30 junior high youth spend that Friday night and much of Saturday at Bethel. We are very excited to contribute to the event in this way, but it means we’ll need LOTS of help to make it happen! Adults are needed to help with meals, driving, supervising kids overnight, and clean-up. More details will be available as planning continues, but if you would like to volunteer to help make this happen, please fill out the volunteer form and return it to Angie. Thanks!
